Surveying of commercial property may be done for informational purposes, for transfer of title, mortgage, planning, and permitting. Often either a Category 1 or ALTA survey will be required by a lender for Commercial Properties.
An Engineering Survey typically provides topographic, layout, and as-built surveys associated with engineering design. An engineering project may require information obtained by different types of surveying processes. We work with engineers and architects to obtain the information needed to complete the project.
Construction Survey or Building Survey (otherwise known as "staking", "stake-out", "lay-out", "setting-out" or "BS") is to stake out reference points and markers that will guide the construction of new structures such as roads or buildings. These markers are usually staked out according to a suitable coordinate system selected for the project
Construction surveys are performed to facilitate the proper location of new improvements in relation to the property lines or existing improvements, as well as verification of concrete form locations prior to the placement of concrete. This can include vertical location as well as horizontal locations.
Boundary Survey – Boundary “Standard” Survey - This is the normal or standard survey requested by Title Companies, Realtors, and/or Lenders. This survey re-establishes the boundary as well as showing all permanent improvements in relation to the property lines, known easements, and known setbacks.
